A book
A book about how the work actually gets done.
The method written out properly — how to see what your business really does, get it down in a way that survives contact with a normal week, and work out which part to change first.
Being written. No title, no date, and nothing to pre-order.
The book
What it covers
The same ground we cover with clients, in the order it actually matters.
Why watching beats asking
Ask someone how their job works and you get the policy. Sit and watch and you get the job. How to run the sessions, and what to write down while you are in them.
Getting it down so it survives
Most written processes are fiction within a year. What has to be in one for it still to be true next spring, and what can safely be left out.
Whose name is on it
Ownership is the step everyone skips. Why work with nobody’s name against it drifts, and what accepting a system actually commits you to.
What to change first
Once you can see how the work moves, one part is holding up the rest. Finding it, changing it, and being able to show the change did something.
Not finished yet.
There is nothing to pre-order and no date to promise. If you want to hear about it when there is, send a line — that is the whole mechanism.
