Privacy notice

This notice explains how Scallle Ltd (“Scallle”, “we”) processes personal data about visitors to scallle.com and people who contact us. We act as a data controller for the purposes described below. Companies in the Scallle portfolio publish their own privacy notices for their own products.

1. Who we are

Scallle Ltd is a company registered in England & Wales. You can reach us at privacy@scallle.com.

2. What we collect

Contact details you provide (name, email, company, role) when you fill in our contact form or email us.
The content of your message, and anything else you choose to include in it.
Usage and device data, including IP address, browser type, and page events, collected through essential cookies and server logs. Your IP address is also recorded with a contact-form submission for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

3. How we use it

To read and respond to enquiries.
To keep the site working, secure, and free of abuse (legitimate interests).
To comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

4. Lawful bases

We rely on one or more of the following lawful bases under UK GDPR: legitimate interests, consent, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Sharing

We share personal data only with:

Vetted sub-processors who help us run the site (hosting and email delivery).
Professional advisers where required.
Authorities if we are legally required to disclose.

6. International transfers

Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Retention

We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to deal with the matter you raised and to keep a record of the correspondence, and then delete or anonymise them. Server logs are kept for a short operational period.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise these rights by emailing privacy@scallle.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner (ico.org.uk).

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep the site working — including remembering your light or dark theme preference. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies.
